management, the PeakFlow Meter is a hand-held device that measures
Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR), or the maximum velocity of air
expelled from the lungs. Just blow into the PeakFlow as hard and
fast as possible and the instrument's scale gives a numerical
indication of exhaled velocity. Clinical experience shows that
respiratory patients who take their own peak flow measurements
improve their physician's ability to provide effective treatment.
Its compact design makes it easy to use at home, school or work. The
reusable mouthpiece and durable plastic housing clean easily with
soap and water.
